After selecting People, LinkedIn can offer filters such as connection degree, location, current company, past company, school, industry, profile language, service categories, keywords, and connections of. Some filters, including actively hiring, may require Premium.
Start with the few facts that must be true. Add filters one at a time and inspect how the result set changes. A profile only matches the information LinkedIn can understand from that member's profile, so incomplete profiles can produce false negatives.
